The Olive Cadastre is a system consisting of standardized geographic and textual data for the identification, registration and monitoring of all olive-cultivated areas within the territory of Albania, specifically for the municipalities of: Elbasan, Peqin, Lushnje, Belsh, Cërrik, Gramsh, Kuçovë, Dimal, Roskovec, Fier, Vlorë, Mallakastër, Berat and Poliçan. It aims to: Monitor national olive potential; Determine areas of quality olive oil production; Establish an Integrated Administration and Control System and fiscal management of this sector. The Olive Cadastre was started to be established by the Agricultural Technology Transfer Center, Fushë Krujë in 2012 within the framework of the "Olive Cadastre" project, funded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The program aimed to create a modern geographic information system (GIS) for olive cultivation. The establishment of the olive cadastre was initially tested in a pilot area (Mollas administrative unit, Cërrik municipality), creating a register for olive cultivation in line with the Council Regulations and the Commission Regulations. After creating a standardized register for olive cultivation, the Agricultural Technology Transfer Center, Fushë Krujë has continued the work to complete it for the entire territory of the country.
