These data are generated from the Ishëm and Erzen River Basin Management Plans, approved respectively with VKM no. 624, date 8.11.2023 for the Ishëm 2024-2029 PMBU and VKM no. 623 date 8.11.2023 for the Erzen 2024-2029 PMBU. The data represent the ecological status of surface water bodies. Good ecological status is the status of a surface water body, classified in accordance with point 2 of article 41 of Law 29/2024 as amended and is determined based on the assessment of the analysis of pressures and impacts on water bodies, within the framework of the implementation of the first 6-year cycle of the PMBL. Good ecological status is the state of a surface water body when biological, physico-chemical and hydromorphological elements show only minor changes from reference conditions, ensuring the maintenance of good environmental quality according to the applicable legal framework. In the classification of the ecological status of water bodies, colors are used to visually present the level of quality and the degree of human impact on the waters. They help to quickly understand the status, especially in maps and reports of the PMBU.
