The Landslide Cadastre of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina represents a central database of registered landslides in the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The cadastre is maintained and regularly updated by the Federal Institute of Geology, based on field research in cooperation with competent institutions. It contains information on the location, spatial extent, type and dynamics of landslides, as well as an assessment of the vulnerability. The aim of the cadastre is to monitor the situation, plan protection measures and reduce the risk of landslides in the Federation of BiH.
Podaci o klizištima prikupljani su kroz terenski rad stručnog tima, pri čemu se za svaku lokaciju popunjava standardizirani katastarski list, te se na licu mjesta evidentiraju prostorne koordinate i osnovne geološko-inženjerske karakteristike. Prikupljeni podaci se zatim kancelarijski obrađuju, verifikuju i unose u geoinformacijske sisteme (GIS), gdje se vrši njihova dodatna analiza, klasifikacija i kartografska prezentacija. Proces uključuje provjeru tačnosti, dopunu podataka i usklađivanje sa važećim tehničkim standardima Federalnog zavoda za geologiju.
