The development of the Spatial Plan of the Municipality of Dobretici represents the first planning document that will be the basis of the development of the Municipality and the planning of space management. The initiation of preparations for the preparation of the Plan, the implementation of the procedure for the selection of the person responsible for the preparation of the Plan, and the final selection of the person responsible for the preparation and the person responsible for the preparation of the Plan is defined by the Decision of the competent body of the Municipality of Dobretici no. 01-02-42/06 from 4.7.2006. year. The spatial plan of the Municipality of Dobretici is being prepared for a period of 20 years, i.e. the time period from 2007 to 2027.
Zakonska osnova za izradu Prostornog plana je, pored općinske Odluke, Zakon o prostornom planiranju i korištenju zemljišta na nivou Federacije BiH (Sl. novine 04/6 od 1.02.2006. godine) Zakon o prostornom uređenju Srednjobosanskog kantona (Sl. novine 11/05 od 2.11. 2005.), Uredbe o jedinstvenoj metodologiji za izradu dokumenata prostornog uređenja (Sl. novine Federacije br. 63 od 12.11.2004. godine) i Prostorni plan Srednjobosanskog kantona za period 2001. – 2020. godine iz maja 2002. godine.
